Wat Thawon Warawon, Hat Yai, Thailand
high-definition creative commons photographs from Wat Thawon Warawon, Hat Yai, Thailand together with further information.
This is a small but very interesting Chinese Temple in the heart of the Hat Yai city. There are a number of shrines in the main halls downstairs, including the main shrine to Guan Yin (Kuan Im), and there are other sections around dedicated to Shakyamuni, and another for the temple’s founder. On the 4th floor is the Sīma, or monastic congregation hall, which also has a very fine shrine with 3 Buddhas and 2 Bodhisattvas, besides dragon pillars and other artifacts. From the 4th floor there is also a veruy good view over central Hat Yai.
