The Hall of the Ādi-Buddha
One of the newest buildings on the site, the Hall of the Ādi-Buddha, the First Buddha or Original Buddha (Somdet Ong Pathom), is both a finely designed open and light-filled building and a notable stainless steel statue, which towers over the visitor.
Main Shrine Hall
Opposite the Ādi-Buddha building is the huge, aircraft-hanger type building which houses the main shrines. Inside there are many shrines, including very elaborately ornamented Buddha shrines and other statues of some famous Thai monks (Luangpor). The building must hold thousands of people, and is the location of a big kaṭhina celebration every year.
Secondary Shrine Hall
Way behind this shrine hall is another, which is guarded by a Nāga bridge, which you must cross to approach. The Nāgas spray you with cleansing water as you cross. Inside is another fine and elaborate shrine hall and Buddha statue.
Other Shrines and Buildings
Around the grounds are many other buildings and shrine halls, including a Good Luck shrine, a shrine to Phra Indra and his wife Maddī, and the Uposatha Hall. It should also be noted that building work in the temple is still proceeding, and more places are coming up.
