This chapter focuses on two unique Thūpas erected to honor the Buddha’s personal effects: his royal diadem and his sacred garments. These specific shrines symbolize the transition from the Buddha’s worldly life to his ascetic pursuit of enlightenment. By enshrining these objects, devotees created lasting monuments that allowed the faithful to pay homage to the Master’s renunciation and the high spiritual state attained by him and his Arahats.
