After the Buddha’s parinibbāna, a poor man near Pāṭaliputta encountered a thief in a forest. Choosing generosity over conflict, he mindfully gifted his garments to the thief, aspiring for future merit. Soon after, a poisonous snake bit and killed him. Due to his pure-hearted dāna, he was reborn in a twelve-league golden vimāna in the Himavantappadese, surrounded by celestial nymphs and wish-fulfilling trees, enjoying immense heavenly bliss and divine splendor.
