05 The Snake Charmer

high-definition creative commons posters depicting The Snake Charmer Story from the Rasavāhiṇī (Heart Streams) together with further information.

During the era of Buddha Kassapa, a skeptical snake charmer mockingly repeated the phrase Namo Buddhāya. Later, when an angry Nāga king pursued him for trying to capture it, the charmer tripped and instinctively shouted the sacred phrase. Pacified by the Triple Gem’s immense power, the Nāga spared him and gifted three golden flowers. The man reformed, practiced charity, and ultimately attained a blissful heavenly rebirth.
