02 The Hunter
high-definition creative commons posters depicting The Hunter Story from the Rasavāhiṇī (Heart Streams) together with further information.
Thirty-one eons ago, a hunter encountered Buddha Sikhī preaching in a forest. Listening to the Dhamma with a joyful heart, he earned merit leading to cycles of heavenly and wealthy human rebirths. During Gotama Buddha’s era, he was born in Sāvatthī, ordained as a monk, and attained Arahantship. His story illustrates that even brief exposure to the Dhamma can transform a life of violence into one of total spiritual liberation
