There was exponential growth of the Rangoon Sāsana Yeikthā amidst the historic Sixth Buddhist Council. Preoccupied with high-level council duties, Mahāsi Sayādaw delegated daily meditation auditing to a trusted council of senior disciple-teachers. Managed by lay benefactors, the center’s real estate rapidly expanded from 5.5 to over 20 acres, transforming into a sprawling spiritual complex driven by deep public devotion and prayers.
