13 Ven. Siṅgālakamātā

She resolved to be foremost in faith while a nun under Buddha Padumuttara, after hearing a discourse on devotion. Born in Rājagaha, she was the mother of Siṅgālaka, whom the Buddha instructed on worshipping directions. She attained Stream-entry from that discourse and became a nun. Her faith in the Buddha was exceptionally strong, and through conviction she attained Arahatship. The Buddha named her foremost among nuns of strong faith.
