05 Ven. Dhammadinnā

high-definition creative commons posters depicting Ven. Dhammadinnā based on the Great Chronicles of the Buddhas together with further information.

Her aspiration to be chief exponent of Dhamma arose under Buddha Padumuttara. Born as Princess Sudhammā during Buddha Kassapa, she lived chastely for 20,000 years. Married to Visākha, in her last life, she became a nun after his attainment of Anagāmī. She attained Arahatship and brilliantly answered her husband’s questions on Dhamma. The Buddha endorsed her teachings, naming her the foremost nun in expounding doctrine.
