high-definition creative commons photographs about Ven. Mahā Kappina from the Great Chronicles together with further information.
Under Buddha Padumuttara, he aspired to admonish monks. As a weaver’s husband, he built monasteries for Paccekabuddhas. Later as King Mahā Kappina, he heard of the Buddha’s appearance, renounced his throne with 1,000 ministers, and crossed three rivers by truth-asseveration. All became Arahats.
