36. Ven. Nandaka

high-definition creative commons photographs about Ven. Nandaka from the Great Chronicles together with further information.

Under Buddha Padumuttara, he aspired to be foremost in admonishing nuns. In his final life, he became an Arahat with past-life recall. He twice taught the same discourse to 500 nuns—first establishing them in Stream-entry, then making them Arahats. The Buddha praised his teaching as moon-like. He was declared foremost in instructing nuns.
