Under Buddha Padumuttara, he aspired to be foremost in meditation. In his final life, he ordained and became an Arahat. He doubted even permitted things, like molasses with raw ingredients and sprouting beans, earning the name Revata the Doubter. But eventually he was declared foremost among meditating monastics.
