In Buddha Padumuttara’s time, he aspired to be foremost in elaborating brief teachings. He donated gold bricks to Buddha Kassapa’s shrine, wishing for golden complexion. In his final life as a Brahmin chaplain, he ordained with seven companions and became an Arahat. He was declared foremost in analytically explaining the Buddha’s concise teachings.
