As a lion, he honoured Buddha Padumuttara with floral seats for seven days. Later reborn as a merchant’s son, he aspired to be foremost in making fearless declarations. In his final life as a Brahmin teacher, he ordained and became an Arahat. He famously brought down a sandalwood bowl by psychic power and was declared foremost among those who roar like lions.
