7. Ven. Lakuṇḍaka Bhaddiya

high-definition creative commons photographs about Ven. Lakuṇḍaka Bhaddiya from the Great Chronicles together with further information.

He aspired for a sweet voice under Buddha Padumuttara. As the Cittapatta cuckoo, he offered a mango to Buddha Vipassī. Later as a master carpenter, he argued for the reduction in size of a relic shrine, resulting in his being reborn with a small body size. In his final life, though dwarfish, he became an Arahat through Ven. Sāriputta’s teaching and was declared foremost in sweet voice.
