Visākhā, born into a meritorious family, attained Stream-entry at age seven under Buddha Gotama. After marrying into Migāra’s family in Sāvatthī, her wisdom converted her father-in-law, earning her the unique title Migāramātā. She personally funded the magnificent Pubbārāma monastery, costing 270 million, by selling her own ornate mahā-latā gown. Recognized for her lifelong generosity and great physical strength, the Buddha declared her the foremost female lay disciple among his followers.
