high-definition creative commons posters depicting The Story about Buddhabhadra (Kapilavastu) together with further information.
Buddhabhadra, a descendant of the Shakya clan from Kapilavastu, was a meditation and Vinaya master. After traveling to China, he initially worked in Chang'an but moved south to Mount Lu and Nanjing due to doctrinal friction. He is best known for collaborating with Faxian to translate the Mahāsāṁghika vinaya and producing the first Chinese translation of the vast Avataṁsaka sūtra. His legacy is defined by his expertise in Dhyāna (meditation) and his prolific translation output.
