Buddhayaśas (Kashmir)

high-definition creative commons posters depicting The Story about Buddhayaśas (Kashmir) together with further information.

He was a monk from Kashmir (Jibin) known for his extraordinary memory, and was a close associate and teacher of Kumārajīva. He joined Kumārajīva in Chang'an to assist with complex translations. His most notable contribution was the translation of the Dharmagupta Vinaya (Four-Part Vinaya) and the Dīrghāgama, which he dictated entirely from memory, ensuring the preservation and transmission of essential monastic codes and early discourses.
