This chapter establishes the relationship between the physical body and the mind, viewing humans as bundles of unstable psychosomatic conditions. It explains that mental suffering arises from the illusion of “I” and “mine,” which generates craving and aversion. By understanding that all mental and physical elements are the results of causal factors, the mind can remain stable, calm and peaceful, accepting reality without the inner struggle of wanting or rejecting experiences.
