The Buddha travels to Rājagaha to fulfill a promise to King Bimbisāra. Impressed by the Buddha’s mastery over the Kassapa brothers, the King and his subjects listen to the Dhamma, leading Bimbisāra to attain the eye of Truth. He subsequently gifts the Bamboo Wood monastery to the Sangha. The focus then shifts to the conversion of Sāriputta and Moggallāna, who become the Buddha’s chief disciples after hearing a single verse about causation. Despite some public concern over the number of young men joining the order, the Buddha remains steadfast in his mission.
