Yasa, a wealthy young man living a life of immense luxury, grows deeply disillusioned with his sensory pleasures after waking up to see his sleeping female musicians in disarray. Distressed, he flees his home in the night and wanders to the Deer Park. There, he meets the Buddha, who comforts him, delivers a progressive discourse on generosity and morality, and guides Yasa to realize the Dhamma and enter monastic life.
