Batuan is a fvillage famous for its artistic traditions, and the Pura Puseh temple reflects this with elaborate sculpting and relief work around the temple. The temple itself was built up from the 11th century onwards. The temple seemed more open than most Balinese temples, and by now the temple has become a major tourist stop, and it was half full with tourists when we were there.
