Pura Majapahit (Temple Majapahit), is a Hindu temple founded by an ancestral lineage with roots back to the Majapahit period. The temple was built up recently by Hyang Batara Agung Wilatikta Brahmaraja XI, a direct ancestor of the Majapahit royalty, with the intention of promoting tolerance and inter-culturality, as seen in the Majapahit period itself. The various temples and shrines are built round a couple of old candis on the site, which may be situated on ancestral land belonging to the family. Around the grounds now, there are many different shrines and temple houses, with Hindu, Buddhist and Chinese altars.
